Well structured for health care crisis
The very structure of a DPC practice like the Art of Medicine Direct provides our members with a superior experience during a pandemic. Our members have doctors who know them and are available to them. We do not need to create “telemedicine” or “remote visits” as that is already part of the care we offer our members. We do not have a waiting room full of sick patients because we do not overbook. We request our patients call us or email us before coming into the office (especially now). If we can handle a health concern over the phone we will. If we need to see you in the office this is a safe place to come.
What should I do if I’m sick?
Send us an email and we will email or call you back. You can send us a message through our web site artofmedicinedirect.com with the Patientpop platform. You can send us messages direct through the patientfusion portal of our EMR (practice fusion) if you signed up for that app. You can email us at artofmedicinedirect@gmail.com You can call the office directly at 704 510 9227. Please realize we only have 2 phone lines and one or two staff members to answer the phone so we ask for your patience with the phone and encourange using email if you can.
What may happen?
If we can, we will provide care over the phone, this may include sending prescriptions to your pharmacy if that is medically appropriate. If we need to see you in the office we will set up an appointment and be ready for your arrival so that you will not be exposed to anyone who is ill and to as few people as possible. For patients needing routine chronic care or routine physical exams we may postpone those visits until later in the year “when the dust settles.”
Is it safe?
I believe our office is one of the safer places to go to currently. We follow all the CDC guidlines and keep up with new recommendations continuously.
Are you taking new patients?
Yes. We only ask that you contact us as outlined above and not walk in in person.
